SAVE OUR EARTH 1
SAVE OUR EARTH.
The most fragile.
The most vulnerable part of the earth is its atmosphere, which is a thin layer of gases that surrounds us. the atmosphere is made up of oxygen, nitrogen, inert gases like argon, neon and the greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and nitrous oxide (N2O). of these CO2 is a major culprit. levels of these greenhouse gases in atmosphere increase when we burn oil, coal and natural gas, produce cement or release chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). into the air. cutting down trees also contributes to a rise in CO2 levels increased emissions of greenhouse gases is trapping excess amount of heat from the sun, thereby warming the earth more than needed. this global warming. Since 1880 there has been a rise of 0.7 Degree Celsius in the Earth's temperature.
GLOBAL WARMING SIDE EFFECTS.
Glaciers are melting everywhere with rapidity - in the alps, Himalayas and even in faraway Patagonia Indian space and research organisation says that the Gangotri glacier has receded 1.5 km in the last 30 years. if this glacier and others in the Himalayas keep melting, billions of people living in the Ganges plateau will suffer from serious water shortages.
